New Job Contract law in Saudi Arabia in 2025.
If somone does'nt have a contract right now , he will have a kharooj imposed on him and he will be deported . To combat this today we will discuss the New Job Contract law in Saudi Arabia in that has yet to be implemented in 2025.
Rules of deportation and Contracts:
First of all , If you are in Saudi Arabia and your contract expires and you dont renew it , you get immediatly deported. But you can apply for a contract extension in his previous company or any other company. To put it simply, according to this new law, your contract is now much more valuable than the iqama.
Before the company would auto renew your contract once it approached its expiry date. But now we have to renew the contract ourselves. It is not auto renewed and everybody can select in which company they can apply for. Now we have to manually contact our company or any new company for a new contract.
How to act if someone has a kharooj imposed on him:
Someone had a iqama that had a time period of 24 hour left and he had a kharooj that told him to leave the country within 24 hours , he contested this kharooj in maktab amal and his case was finalised within a week to find a new contract or leave the country within the specified time.
So if someone has limited time to renew his contract , he can go to maktab amal and get an extension period and find a contract in the given time. To file a case in maktab amal he must provide evidence such as kafeel and company, iqama and the kharooj.
Now according to the new law, every body would be able to transfer his contract to another company and the previous kafeel and company cannot impose a kharooj on them.If the company does such, the person has full authority to contest this in maktab amal.
What to do if kharooj is imposed?
If someone has been in Saudi arabia for less than 1 year and a kharooj has been imposed on him, he cannot apply for iqama again and must leave or be deported from the kingdom.
But if he has more than 1 year of residence he doesnt need to worry as he can reapply for a new iqama and contract.
If someone has iqama of less than 30 days , then kharooj is not applicable on him according to this new law.
And if someone has iqama of 4 or 6 months then he can stays for less than 60 days after kharooj and must leave the country or apply for a new iqama and contract.
