Saudi Labour law for 2024/25.
Today we will be talking about the current labour law that have been implemented for 2024/25 in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
WHATS NEW IN THE REVISED SAUDI LABOUR LAWS?
A Company can now never apply a kharooj on you to get rid of you as a worker. Now if the company or agent tries to apply a kharooj on you,then you are given a 7 day time to willingly leave the country or apply for a whole new visa to save yourself from deportation
The employee must notify the employer 90 days before terminating job to avoid any problems.
Vice Versa The employer must also notify the employee before a specific amount of time that is according to the updated labour law that they want to terminate his contract.
UPDATE ON SALARY SITUATION:
If you have any problems with the agent interfering with your salary, you could request to issue a nakal kafala agaisnt your employer and have a case registered on them if you have plausable evidence.
Now salaries are send directly to your personal bank account.The employer are made liable to send the local employees their salaries directly to their bank account otherwise they will be taken legal action agaisnt if the employee tries to upheld a case agaisnt them.
NAVTTC:
When people applied for a visa in India,Pakistan or Bangladesh, they had to take a test in their respective test and pass it which was known as NAVTTC.
But now Saudi government employees will directly take your test along with pakistan,bangladesh or Indian supervision.
WHO ARE EXEMPT FROM NAVTTC:
Maids are exempt from NAVTTC and can directly apply for visa process.
VACCINE POLICY:
Corona policies have ended in 2024/25 as Corona/Covid19 is not a serious threat anymore in this current date and time.
Pakistani and afghanistani national have to take polio vaccines.
EXPECTED POLICY CHANGES IN 2025:
We can expect the outpass to be revised and opened once again so illegal people can apply for a outpass and legally leave Saudi Arabia and If they want to enter the kingdom once again , they can apply for a new visa without any restrictions.
The employees can apply for leave through Absher system with no cutback by agents and kafeels.
DO AND DON'TS DURING STAY IN KSA:
Dont apply for long contracts, only apply for a 1 or 2 year contract.This is a much better alternative to long contracts.
Dont sign anything you cant read and specifically dont sign any empty piece of paper the company hands to you as they can lure you into unfair contracts without your consent.
Dont give access of your personal bank account to the kafeel,agent,or employer.
Dont give personal data to anybody, This is common knowledge but its still astounding to see that many job aspirants can give their personal info to anybody offering them a job.Dont fall to their tricks.
