Family visit visa of Saudi Arabia latest news 2025.

Today we will discuss the two important updates regarding Family visit visa in Saudi Arabia

In recent developments, Saudi Arabia has made significant changes to its visa policies that could affect those planning to visit family members in the Kingdom. These updates are particularly relevant for people who were previously accustomed to obtaining single and multiple entry visas for extended visits.

As of recent updates, Saudi Arabia has officially ended the availability of both single and multiple entry visas for family visits.

Under the new system, when you apply for a family visit visa, you will no longer apply in for a single or multiple entry visa. This change has created uncertainty for travelers, as it previously was clear whether your visa would allow multiple entries or not.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) website is no longer providing information on the type of visa. Once the visa is approved, it is passed to the Tasheer office, which is also unable to provide this information about the type of visa. Instead, the embassy in your home country is the only place that will have knowledge of the visa type and duration.

The key takeaway is that the embassy in your country will now play a crucial role in determining whether you receive a single-entry or multiple-entry visa. It will be up to their discretion, and the length of the visa granted will depend on their willingness to approve either a single or multiple entry. This means there could be varying practices across different countries, and the processing times might differ.

Visa Extensions?

If you currently hold a single-entry visa that is extendable, you will not be affected by these changes. You can still extend your visa as usual. However, it’s essential to ensure that you have 90 days of valid insurance coverage when applying for extensions to ensure a smooth process for stamping your visa.

When Will Multiple Entry Visas Resume in Pakistan?

For those who have been waiting for the return of multiple-entry family visit visas in countries like Pakistan, the news is that these visas will be available again after Hajj. However, it’s difficult to determine exactly how long this will take. The timeline for resuming the issuance of multiple-entry visas will depend on various factors, including changes in government policies and logistical considerations.
