Important services In ABSHER that are helpful for VISIT VISA HOLDERS.

If you are visiting Saudi Arabia on a work or visit visa, you don’t need to carry your passport everywhere. The Saudi government has made it easier to use services online through Absher.

Firstly You do not need an Absher account to use some important services. In this guide, I will explain how to use Absher in a simple and easy way.

Border Number:

When you arrive in Saudi Arabia, you get a border number. This number is written in the passport system and is like a temporary ID for you.

You can use this number to:

  • See your visa details

  • Get a digital iqama card

  • Check traffic fines

  • Know if you are allowed to perform Hajj

How to Find Your Border Number:

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Absher website.

  2. Choose English.

  3. Click on Absher Individual.

  4. Scroll down and find Instant Services.

  5. Click on Visitor.

  6. Select Query Border Number.

  7. Click Start Service.

  8. Choose Non-GCC (if you are not from a Gulf country).

  9. Enter your Visa Number and Visa Issue Date (in Gregorian calendar).

  10. Click on Inquire.

You will now see your Border Number. Write it down or save it.

How to Get Your Digital Visitor Card (Digital Iqama):

Instead of carrying your passport, you can carry a digital card on your phone. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Absher home page.

  2. Click on Digital Visitor Card.

  3. Click Start Service.

  4. Enter your Border Number and Date of Birth.

  5. Click on View Digital Card.

  6. Take a screenshot and keep it on your phone.

You can show this card to police or security if they ask for your ID.

How to Check Traffic Fines:

If you drive a car in Saudi Arabia, you can check if you have any traffic violations:

  1. Go to Query Traffic Violation on Absher.

  2. Enter your Border Number, Passport Number, or Iqama Number.

  3. Click Search.

It will show if you have any traffic fines.

How to Know If You Can Perform Hajj:

  1. Go to Inquiry of Hajj Permit.

  2. Click Start Service.

Note: If you are on a visit visa, you are not allowed to do Hajj right now. The system will not show your details.

Important Note About SIM Cards:

To use some Absher services (like getting SMS alerts), you may need a SIM card that is registered in your name.

When you buy a SIM, make sure:

  • It is registered under your passport number.

  • Your name matches what’s on your visa or passport.

This will help Absher link your services correctly.
