Exit reentry visa banned in saudi arabia in 2025.
Important Information for Pakistani Workers in Saudi Arabia – Don’t Miss Your Return from Vacation
Many Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia go on vacation to Pakistan to visit their families. But now, it is extremely important to understand the latest rules. These rules have changed, and breaking them can ruin your career permanently.
OLD RULE – NOW ENDED
Before, if you went on vacation and didn’t return, the punishment was a 3-year ban from entering Saudi Arabia again. After 3 years, you could apply for a new visa and return if you got a sponsor.
That rule is now finished.
NEW RULE – LIFETIME BLACKLIST
Now, if you go on vacation and do not return within the allowed time, you can get a permanent ban from entering Saudi Arabia. You may be blacklisted for life. This is a serious change. You will not be able to work in Saudi Arabia again, even if you find a new job or visa.
Many people do this thinking they can return later with an Azad visa or through another sponsor. But the current Saudi system is strict and well-connected. You cannot bypass it easily like before.
WHY PEOPLE STAY BACK AFTER VACATION
-
They get job offers from other places and think it's better than returning.
-
They want to avoid problems with their kafeel (sponsor).
-
They think Azad visa will help them come back easily.
-
They want to switch companies without following the proper legal procedure.
All of these reasons are now very risky.
WHY THIS IS DANGEROUS NOW
-
The system is connected to your entry and exit records.
-
Your iqama, job contract, and visa are connected through the QIWA system.
-
If you don’t return on time, the system automatically cancels your contract.
-
Once your contract is canceled and you are marked as “runaway” or “absent from work”, your name can be added to the blacklist permanently.
This is not a small issue. Once blacklisted, you will not be able to apply again. Even changing passports or using agents cannot help in many cases.
THINGS TO DO – VERY IMPORTANT
-
Return Before Your Exit/Reentry Visa Expires
Always return before your reentry visa or vacation limit expires. Don’t take the risk of staying even a few days extra. -
Keep Checking Your Status on Ministry of Labour Website
Your job and contract status are available online. Check it regularly to make sure your status is active. -
Check Absher Regularly
Your Absher account shows important information like exit/reentry status, iqama expiry, job title, and contract details. Don’t ignore it. -
Keep Your Saudi SIM Active
If your SIM is off or inactive, you may not get alerts. You may miss messages from your sponsor or the government. -
Don’t Trust the System to Be Forgiving
Sometimes the Qiwa system auto-cancels contracts after some time if you're outside the country. The system does not wait for manual updates. Once the system marks you absent, you may be permanently banned. -
Avoid Fake Agents and Azad Visa Offers
Many agents in Pakistan promise quick Azad visas or jobs with better pay. These are mostly scams. Even if the visa is real, your blacklist may block it. -
Try to Fix Issues with Your Sponsor Before Leaving
If you have problems with your kafeel or company, try to sort them out legally before your vacation. Do not leave thinking you’ll find a new visa from Pakistan.
WHAT IF YOU ALREADY MADE A MISTAKE?
If your exit/reentry has already expired, return immediately before the system blacklists you. Even if only one or two days have passed, go back as soon as possible. Do not wait.
If your status is already “terminated” or “absent from work,” contact your sponsor or the Saudi labour office through official channels. You may still get a chance to fix the issue before being blacklisted.
